NACHC Press Policies and Guidelines
NACHC welcomes media coverage by members of the press to all of its conferences. We do require that press register in advance at least two days before the conference begins. NACHC provides complimentary registration to accredited professional journalists representing media organizations for the express purpose of gathering news and information to produce media coverage of the meeting. We do not provide complimentary registration to public relations professionals, or marketing or health care professionals representing themselves as press. If you have any questions regarding policies, press room operations, or available resources, please contact the NACHC Communications staff at (301)347‑0400. We look forward to working with you.
To register as press for a NACHC conference, journalists must present media identification or a business card issued by a recognized news organization or publication. Journalists reporting for online media outlets (including blogs) who wish to register as press must work for newsmaking organizations or private blogs that meet the following criteria:
- The website must provide original, editorial news coverage;
- Editorial content must be independent of advertising and sponsorship; and
- Online press credentials are subject to review by NACHC.
Conference Education Sessions
NACHC education sessions for attendees are open to the press on a background basis only. No audio or video recordings during these sessions are allowed. Still photography may be permissible with the prior consent of presenters or attendees and in a manner that isn’t disruptive. Requests for on-the-record interviews with presenters, speakers, or attendees must be coordinated with NACHC Communications staff in advance.
