HRSA Program Requirements - Examining Requirement 9: Key Managment Staff - As the demand placed on FQHCs becomes more stringent, through Meaningful Use and Health Care Reform, a summary of these 19 health center program requirements will continue to be examined in IPHCA HealthSourceTM. The 19 program requirements fall into one of four categories: Need, Services, Management and Finance, and Governance.
Emergency Management - Disasters strike all the time. Being prepared to handle a disaster is key in providing care to the communities that you serve.
Risk Management -- Involves identifying potential risks to patient and staff safety and exposure to legal liability, and then applying systems and procedures to prevent or manage those risks.
Capital Development – NACHC partners with Capital Link to provide assistance with capital projects. Let their expertise help you with your centers growth.
Special Populations – Health centers not only provide care for the uninsured and under-insured, but special populations as well. These include elderly, homeless, farmworker, public housing and other special populations.
Health Center Growth/Development – Starting or expanding a health center is filled with paper work. NACHC provides resources and assistance to help ease the process and get your new center or expansion from the idea stage to reality.
340B Prime Vendor Program – Enables community health centers, hospitals, clinics and other safety net providers to purchase outpatient pharmaceuticals at discounted pricing, thereby expanding access to care to low-income and vulnerable segments of the population.
