Research shows that colorectal cancer screening effectively detects early-state cancer and polyps. However, screening rates for colorectal cancer lag behind other cancer screening rates. This March, during National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, NACHC is working with the National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance and Stand Up To Cancer to increase screening rates at community health centers. NACHC and many Community Health Centers and Primary Care Associations have signed the 80% screening by 2018 pledge.
