HHS Awards Health Centers $350 Million to Fight the Nationwide Opioid Crisis

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced the availability of $350 in funding to expand access to substance use disorder and mental health services at community health centers nationwide. The funds will support health centers’ efforts to implement and advance evidence-based strategies. The funds are expected to be awarded by the Health Resources and Services Administration in September.
