New: Community Health Centers: Can They Plug the Gaps in the Safety Net?
NACHC Senior Vice President for Policy and Research, Dan Hawkins, will be among the panelists at a briefing scheduled for Monday, July 23rd, from 10:15 AM to 12:00 PM and sponsored bythe Alliance for Health Reform and the Centene Corporation The topic of the briefing is: "Community Health Centers: Can They Plug the Gaps in the Safety Net?" The discussion will focus on how Community Health Centers are in a unique position to serve the millions of people who will gain coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Other Speakers will be: Laurie Felland, Center for Studying Health System Change; Henry Taylor, Miles Square Health Center, IL; Steven Shattls, Valley Health Systems, WV; and Dr. Elisa Nicholas, The Children’s Clinic, CA.
