Community Health Center Physician to Appear on Radio Show HUR Voices
Gary Wiltz, MD, CEO of the Teche Action Clinic in Franklin, LA, will appear on the radio show "HUR – VOICES" (Sirius XM Channel 141) this week. Dr. Wiltz appears on the “The Health Chat” segment as a special guest to discuss the importance of health centers in local urban communities with hosts Diana Broomfield, MD, and Akmal Muwwakkil.
Teche Action Clinic, located about 100 miles west of New Orleans, has been on the forefront of providing primary preventive health care for Louisiana residents for over 32 years. Dr. Wiltz has been widely quoted in the state and national press on community health care issues, and has testified on Capitol Hill on behalf of the Community Health Center program. Previous media appearances include C-SPAN's Washington Journal. Dr. Wiltz is also a native New Orleanean. He received his medical school training at Tulane University School of Medicine and serves on NACHC's Executive Board as Chair-Elect.
