Center for Health and Wellness, Inc.

Wichita, Kan. Stimulus funding will be used to establish infrastructure to provide greater access to quality family health care. There are more than 10,000 uninsured children in the service area and the number of uninsured adults is also rising due to massive layoffs in the aircraft industry, a key component of the Wichita economy. There will be a focus on prevention, education and wellness, as there is a high percentage of early death from preventable chronic disease (diabetes, hypertension, etc.). This is a new start. -- Survey information provided by the health center
