Organizational Membership

Organizational Membership is open to any non-profit or public health center that provides comprehensive primary care services, is governed by a representative consumer-directed Board of Directors and that shares a commitment to the mission and goals of NACHC. This is a voting membership category. All community-based health centers – large or small, urban or rural, federally supported or privately funded – have a role in NACHC.

Organizational Member Benefits

NACHC advocacy DELIVERS for Community Health Centers. To date, Congress has provided two extensions of the Community Health Center Fund, in 2015 (FY16 and FY17) and March 2018 (FY18 and FY19). For FY18, the nation’s health centers are funded with $1.6 billion from discretionary funds, and were provided with $3.8 billion from the CHCF in the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018. The Bipartisan Budget Act also included $4 billion in mandatory funds for FY19. America’s 1,400+ health center organizations urge Congress to build upon the investments of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018 which will further expand access to primary care.

Advocacy is key to the future of our nation’s community health centers. Today, health centers serve over 28 million patients at more than 11,000 delivery sites in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. territories.
