Community Health Center Advocates Honored at the 2017 NACHC Policy and Issues Forum

A select group of Community Health Center leaders from around the country were honored by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) for their leadership in advocacy.ย  The award ceremony took place during the 2017 NACHC Policy and Issues Forum a national conference with a record attendance of nearly 3,000 health center professionals.ย  The advocates were honored with two separate categories of awards, the Elizabeth K. Cooke Most Valuable Player Award and the NACHC Grassroots Advocacy Hall of Fame.ย  Both awards recognize the outstanding contributions health center advocates make in ensuring the strength and survival of the Community Health Center Movement.

The awardees are part of the growing Health Center Advocacy Networkย with a membership of more than 130,000 health center professionals, clinicians, nurses, board members and consumers. Their grassroots advocacy work is critical to ensuring the strength and survival health centers for the 25 million people who depend on them for affordable care.
