The National Association of Community Health Centers, the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved, and Prevent Blindness are offering a two-part webinar series for health centers to learn strategies and models of investment from vision care experts and peers from health centers across the country.
Part 1 will review the interconnection of vision, chronic disease and quality of life. Learners will review the data substantiating community needs, disparities and barriers.
Learning Objectives – Participants of this virtual workshop will:
- Increase awareness of health center vision and eye health needs through the patient perspective;
- Increased knowledge of disparities and barriers to accessing high quality vision services;
- Increased knowledge of the interconnection of vision and chronic disease, child developmental milestones, cognitive impairment, and quality of life;
- Identify strategies for integrating vision services into community health clinics.
