Our nation has lost a patriot whose courage and leadership have touched us all. U.S. Senator John McCain dedicated his life to the highest principles of honor, integrity and health equity. He was also a champion of America’s Health Centers. Throughout his career, he supported legislation that strengthened resources for health centers, expanding their reach across the nation. NACHC honored him on many occasions for accomplishments on behalf of the medically underserved and vulnerable. None of us will forget his casting of the final vote in the Senate that preserved the Affordable Care Act. His record of public service and duty to his country will remain an enduring legacy. Senator McCain’s impassioned voice for the people will be missed.
