Every three years, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) conducts a national health center needs assessment to inform the development of operational training and technical assistance (TTA) needed by health centers to advance health center access, quality and impact. NACHC develops and deploys this effort in close collaboration with all HRSA-funded National Training & Technical Assistance Partners (NTTAPs). About the 2021 National TTA Needs Assessment
NACHC piloted and then nationally fielded the 2021 assessment, which closed October 2021. All health center staff were invited to respond. Analysis of the results are underway, with a report of findings anticipated in December 2021. The needs assessment was structured to allow the respondent to quickly identify and select needs across a variety of TTA topics. NACHC conducts this project with cooperative agreement support from HRSA.

This national assessment will inform the development of training and technical assistance (T/TA) necessary to support health centers improve access to primary health care as well as to advance quality and impact in upcoming years.

Objectives: This TTA Needs Assessment will:

  • Minimize response burden by reducing the number of needs assessments deployed to health centers.
  • Improve ease in response through a streamlined questionnaire.
  • Identify priority training topics for BPHC, NTTAP, PCA and HCCN attention.
