Overview
Financial Operations Management I (FOM I) is a two-day, virtual national training designed to strengthen foundational management skills for Health Center leaders and finance professionals. This program provides a practical, hands-on exploration of core health center financial operations, including budgeting, grants management, Medicare cost reporting, and financial decision-making in an evolving reimbursement environment.
Designed for CEO's, CFO's, COOs, Controllers, Finance Managers, and accounting staff, FOM I equips participants with the tools and frameworks needed to enhance financial sustainability, improve reporting accuracy, and support informed leadership decision-making. Through real-world examples and peer discussion, participants gain actionable insights they can immediately apply within their organizations.
Learning Objectives
- Operational Budget Development:
- Develop a comprehensive operational budget aligned with financial goals and compliance by completing a sample budget exercise.
- Profitability Drivers:
- Identify and apply three key drivers of profitability using industry benchmarks to enhance financial performance
- Medicare Cost Report Mastery:
- Accurately complete a Medicare Cost Report, achieving 90% accuracy in a practice exercise.
