House of Delegates and Elections

NACHC holds its annual meeting of the House of Delegates at the Community Health Conference (CHI) & EXPO.

The House of Delegates is where registered delegates cast votes to amend NACHC’s bylaws and elect nationally-elected positions of NACHC’s Board of Directors.

This year’s House of Delegates is Sunday, August 16, 2026. Those participating remotely can view the livestream via Zoom.

Voter registration closes the morning of August 16. See “Participating in the House” below for more information.

These documents are being presented and voted on during the 2026 House of Delegates Meeting. Please take a few minutes to review ahead of the annual meeting.

There are seven (7) candidates for the 2026 House of Delegates.  Two positions each have two candidates – Vice-Speaker of the House and Health Center Board Member Rep – the other 3 positions each have one candidate. Please take time to read each candidate’s statement to learn about candidates.

Serving on the Board of Directors

Positions on NACHC’s Board of Directors are nationally elected (at the annual House of Delegates) or regionally elected (through elections conducted in each of HRSA’s 10 regions).

Participating in the House of Delegates

The online registration process will begin July 18!

Organizational Members of NACHC in good standing (those that have paid at least one quarter of their 2026-2027 dues) by July 17 are eligible to vote.

All voting will be conducted electronically, and advance registration is required.

National Elections

The Candidates’ Forum provides an opportunity to learn more about the individuals running for election at the 2026 House of Delegates Annual Meeting. Each candidate has submitted a personal statement outlining their experience, leadership vision, and commitment to the health center movement. We encourage you to take a moment to read through each statement to make an informed decision in the upcoming election.

The 2026 national elections will fill the following open roles at the annual House of Delegates:

Please carefully review the qualifications for office, which are detailed on the nomination form and include the following:

  • Individual NACHC membership (annual or lifetime) for a minimum of three consecutive years.
  • Employment by or participation on the board of a NACHC Organizational Member, or employment by a chartered Primary Care Association or Health Center Controlled Network, for a minimum of three consecutive years.
  • Active participation on at least two NACHC committees during the past five years.

Bylaws Amendments

Amendments to NACHC’s Bylaws are facilitated by the Bylaws Committee and recommended for adoption by NACHC’s Board of Directors.

Here are answers to a few frequently asked questions:

Is my organization eligible to vote?

Organizational Members of NACHC are eligible to vote if they paid at least one quarter of their 2026-2027 dues by July 17. If you’re unsure if your health center meets these requirements, contact [email protected].

Does the CEO/ED have to be the one casting votes during the House of Delegates?

The CEO/ED of each eligible Organizational Member will be sent the registration email. Through this process, the CEO/ED can designate another member of their organization or board to cast votes.

Does our organization need to be present at the in-person House of Delegates meeting?

No. A livestream link will be posted at this webpage for those that want to watch the proceedings remotely. Real-time participation is required.

Can our organization give our proxy to someone else?

Yes. Proxies can be given to other eligible Organizational Members or to Primary Care Associations. Before assigning your organization’s proxy during the registration process, please reach out to the organization you would like to carry your proxy to ensure they will participate in the House of Delegates (in person or remotely). NACHC isn’t responsible for assigned proxy votes that aren’t fulfilled.
