Your Support Matters
Community Health Center Supporters,
We need your support to bolster the Community Health Center (CHC) movement and, ‘Secure Our Future.’
For 60 years, CHCs have been a lifeline for millions — standing for access, quality care, and compassion in every corner of the country. The Secure Our Future campaign is a bold, unified call to action for all NACHC members and stakeholders to invest directly in the future of CHCs at a moment of challenge and uncertainty.
With Medicaid, Section 330, and funding for primary care workforce programs under threat, and an ever-evolving 340B landscape, the stakes for health centers — and the millions of patients who rely on them — have never been higher. We are confident that together, we can continue to protect our CHCs and our patients.
To ensure we have the resources required to protect CHCs from regulatory and legislative threats, we ask that every NACHC member and stakeholder contribute, at a minimum, $1,500 to the Secure Our Future campaign. This contribution will help galvanize NACHC’s work to strengthen the CHC movement by fueling advocacy efforts that protect critical funding streams, safeguard access to care, and ensure the long-term vitality of our movement.
NACHC is already vigilantly monitoring congressional activity, assessing proposed policy changes, quantifying risks, and making the health center case to key officials in the Trump administration. The unique circumstances and the magnitude of the potential impact on CHCs and the patients you serve demand that we strengthen these efforts even further and be ready to respond immediately to legislative and policy changes as they arise. Because events are moving rapidly, we would be grateful for your full contribution by June 30, 2025.
We have faced and surmounted challenges in the past by leveraging our greatest strength — our united network of community-based healthcare providers who bring essential care to rural, urban, suburban, mountain, frontier, island, and tribal communities. Because of our combined advocacy for CHCs over decades, Congress implemented PPS for Medicaid and Medicare, increased Section 330 funding, established medical liability coverage through the Federal Torts Claims Act, and extended workforce pathways through National Health Service Corps and the Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education program. As you can see below, these advocacy wins have resulted in an average of millions of dollars to CHCs.
| Policy / Program | Average CHC Impact |
| Section 330 Funding | $3.73 million |
| Medicaid PPS | $13.8 million |
| Medicare PPS | $3.2 million |
| Medical Liability Insurance (Estimate of Average Cost without FTCA Coverage) | $323,000 |
| National Health Service Corps | $316,000 |
| Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (*for existing programs) | $2.1 million |
| Impact of CHC Advocacy through NACHC | $25.47 million |
Together, with collective action and shared investment, we can secure the resources needed to defend our mission, amplify our voice in Congress, and build a future where CHCs not only survive, but thrive.

How will we apply these funds:
- Fighting proposed changes to the Medicaid program and lobbying on Section 330 funding and new legislation
- Providing legal analysis of executive actions, legislation, and new policies
- Leading advocacy campaigns for the entire movement, with calls to action at the national, state, and local levels
- Pursuing legal actions, if and when necessary
NACHC is already taking action!
- NACHC is investing in an expanded research team and renewed grassroots advocacy efforts to ensure our advocates are equipped with the stories and statistics that demonstrate the value of health centers.
- We’ve rallied thousands to Capitol Hill through our Policy & Issues Forum and targeted fly-ins to advocate for CHCs and the people they serve, with more engagement opportunities in development.
- We’ve collaborated with state and regional Primary Care Associations (PCAs) to expand our presence in Washington, and we’ve deepened our relationships with trusted advisors who can help influence our success.
- We’ve launched Federal Action Support Team (F.A.S.T) calls to facilitate immediate response to emerging federal and executive actions.
- We’ve met with the White House Domestic Policy Council.
- We’ve retained consultants with direct ties to the new HHS Secretary and new congressional leaders.
- We’ve reinstated the Congressional Community Health Center Caucus.
- We’ve secured earned media coverage worth over 3 million.
- We’ve convened the Primary Care Collaborative, Millbank Memorial Fund, and PCDC to coordinate a strategy for increased investment in primary care.
- We’ve participated in several Medicaid coalitions to emphasize the importance of Medicaid to CHCs and patients.
Much more will be necessary to secure our future, so we need your support!
