Overview
Heat poses serious health risks. Keeping It Cool: Heat Preparedness Resources for Community Health Centers will feature experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and health center leaders who are actively preparing for heat-related emergencies. This session will highlight clinical and public-facing tools from the CDC to help providers recognize and respond to heat, as well as practical strategies to integrate heat preparedness into daily operations. Participants will gain resources to better protect patients and staff during heat season.

- Describe the health impacts of extreme heat and implications for health center patients.
- Explain how to use CDC’s clinical and public-facing tools to recognize and respond to heat-related health conditions.
- Apply actionable strategies to integrate heat preparedness into health center workflows and emergency preparedness.
