Updated November 13, 2025:
Due to the government re-opening through a continuing resolution (CR), funding for Community Health Centers, the National Health Service Corps, and the Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (THCGME) Program has been extended through January 30, 2026. Additionally, a number of Medicare telehealth flexibilities have been extended through January 30, 2026, as well. Note: Be aware there may be some issues initially until systems allow for reimbursement again and CMS guidance are appropriately updated, per the CR.
- Behavioral telehealth in-person visit requirements are delayed.
- For non-behavioral telehealth visits, patients can be at home to receive these services, because CHCs and Rural Health Clinics are back to being certified as distant-site telehealth providers. You can bill G2025 for these non-behavioral health (medical) services.
- Audio-only non-behavioral telehealth visits are again allowed.
