Congress is weighing potential changes to Medicaid that could have major consequences for Community Health Centers (CHCs) and the 32.5 million patients they serve. NACHC is engaging with policymakers on both sides of the aisle to explain the impact on CHCs and their patients. Use these communications resources to promote understanding of why Medicaid matters to you, your CHC, and the CHC patients who rely on Medicaid for health coverage.

Take Action to Protect Medicaid
Contact members of Congress to share why Medicaid matters to Community Health Center patients.
More ways you can act to let Congress know what Medicaid means to you and your community include:
- Share Medicaid patient stories to demonstrate who will lose coverage if cuts are made to the program. Health center staff who interact with Medicaid patients are well situated to collect videos and stories. These personal stories strengthen our advocacy efforts with persuadable Members of Congress.
- Collect and deliver postcards from your patients and board members.
- Continue meeting with Members of Congress and their staff. NACHC’s policy factsheets and meeting toolkit are helpful resources.
