Pharmacy services are a critical component of the care provided in community health centers (CHCs). As trusted providers for millions of underserved patients, these centers rely on entity-owned and affiliated pharmacy teams to deliver more than just prescriptions—they ensure timely access to medications, support chronic disease management, provide immunizations, and deliver personalized care as part of an integrated, team-based approach. A recent NACHC survey of CHCs with pharmacies highlights how they are expanding pharmacy leadership, engaging in strategic partnerships, and embedding pharmacists in care teams to meet the growing and complex needs of their communities.
