NACHC conducts a wide range of projects to advance value-driven care, collect data, and retain a highly quality, competent, and confident staff.
The Clinical Affairs Division (CAD) of NACHC works to position health centers, Primary Care Associations (PCAs), and Health Center Controlled Networks (HCCNs) as the premiere primary health care safety net, grounded in evidence.
Clinical Affairs Division (CAD)
The Clinical Affairs Division (CAD) of NACHC supports all clinical matters at our nation’s Community Health Centers through four main areas of focus: Clinical Workforce, Informatics, Quality, and Care Delivery.
Invests, Improves, Organizes, Empowers invests in current and future highly skilled, adaptive, and mission-driven care teams, reflecting the communities served. We offer state-of-the art training in best practices, coaching, and resources for the clinical workforce including:
- Competency self-assessments, resources, and Clinical Leadership Training
- Clinical Leadership Coaching
- Timely webinars on emerging issues
- Service integration initiatives
Invests, Improves, Organizes, Empowers improves heath equity and health outcomes through impactful and far-reaching special projects including Evidence-based, culturally informed, practices scaled through impactful care delivery pilot projects including:
- Million Hearts ® heart disease and stroke prevention
- Adult Immunization and Vaccine Ambassador programs
- Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) guidance for health centers
- Pediatric Weight Management programs
- Prevention efforts for maternal mortality
- Substance/Opioid Use Disorders guidance for health centers
Invests, Improves, Organizes, Empowers organizes transformation efforts around the Value Transformation Framework (VTF) to improve health outcomes, patient and staff experiences, equity, and costs with health centers, PCAs, HCCNs. Value transformation guidance and innovations from NACHC’s Quality Center are offered through:
- The award-winning Elevate ® National Learning Forum
- Special initiatives like Leading Change, Healthy Together, Re-Imagine Care
- Training scholarships and expert coaching in systems transformation
- Opportunities to collaborate and share a diverse range of evidence-based practices
Invests, Improves, Organizes, Empowers empowers health center staff with tools for data governance, data integrity, and data standards. We expand technological efficiencies in the use of patient and care team data by offering:
- Data dictionaries
- Implementation guides
- Special projects to close care gaps using data, data dashboards, and other informatics tools
